Parent Surveys – Reminder #2
Dear PS 101 Parents/ Guardians: March 19, 2018
Just a reminder that Learning Environment Surveys must be returned ASAP!!!
Only about half of the student population returned their survey … Please help us reach 100%!
If you haven’t completed your Parent Survey recently distributed, please know how you can help raise PS 101’s school grade on the Progress Report by filling out and returning the Parent Survey that will be given to your child in a green envelope today. This is your opportunity to tell the Department of Education how much you love all the wonderful things PS 101 does to support your child’s education and prepare them for the future.
The results are important to P.S 101’s overall success. We have an excellent return rate of surveys every year, but this year we would like to set a goal of 95% or higher in each classroom. Please take a few moments to thoroughly read each question so that the survey accurately reflects your opinion of our school. For example, whenever a parent “Strongly Agrees” with a statement our school receives 10 points for that answer but we only receive 6.6 points for an answer of “Agree’s”. All the points are added to receive the school’s average score.
If you haven’t done so yet, please have your child return the survey to their classroom teacher as soon as possible or kindly complete the survey on-line. Parent surveys must be completed and returned /submitted by March 23, 2018. If you love something we do, show it on the survey. The higher the grades you give, the higher our school grade can go!
Once you have completed this exciting task, your child will be rewarded with a FREE Full-Day NO homework PASS.

REMIND and DOJO Letter Final 2018
March 1, 2018
Dear PS 101 Families:
Thank you for your high interest in using the REMIND and/or DOJO application(s) which allows you to receive messages and respond to your child’s teacher.
Please be reminded that teachers are unavailable to use REMIND/DOJO contact or replies while teaching and/or at meetings. Teachers will do their best to respond to questions within 24-48 hours, but you should not expect them to respond immediately.
If there is a situation or concern that you need to speak with your child’s teacher about, you may arrange for an appointment through Remind/Dojo or by calling the school. Additionally, please do not contact teachers in the evening hours as they are home with their family being mommies and daddies, just like you.
In advance, I appreciate your understanding and partnership to ensure that texting systems are used as part of enhancing the home-school connection.
